I have spent over 100 hours on my project and the AutoSave as well as last saved version show as unable to open project????????????????????????????? WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and my deadline is here!~!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have experienced this issue on one occasion, but having experienced a similar iussue with other software I follow the advice frequently given with all software - to save regularly (and I make sure I keep several past saves to ensure that at least one will work). I have a reservation about advising others not to buy Pinnacle Studio. I really like the interface with version 26 (the only version I have used) and find it does everything I want, but that doesn't mean I don't find a number of small irritations that need fixing. Ususally I find a way around them to achieve what I want, but they do need fixing to support workflow. What really bugs me is that there is no communication from Corel (Alludo?) to indicate they are listening to anyone or have any intention in continuing to support Pinnacle Studio and fix the existing bugs, as well as introduce new features to keep up with alternative software. They seem intent on being totally silent on the matter. On that basis I agree with you - how do they keep selling it without reassuring that they intend continuing support to current users as well as new?
