Refining movement of clips on and between tracks on the timeline

The biggest irritation I find with Pinnacle Studio 26 is when trying to move clips on or between tracks on the timeline. There seems to be no way of stopping it jumping around between tracks. I can see that there is a keyboard method of moving a clip along a track which holds it on the track, but no such way of moving to alternative tracks. In any case it would be very helpful to just be able to grab a clip with the mouse and move it simply and accurately to where it is wanted.
